Apple is really disgusting me with this $#*(%&*( behavior. They really need to completely reevaluate their criteria and make it CRYSTAL EFFING CLEAR what IS and was IS NOT acceptable and then stand by it. None of this 'reject Google Voice because it duplicates functionality' and then 'approve the Opera web browser'. Reject an APP because it 'ridicules public figures' and then plead that the author to resubmit it once he's awarded a Pulitzer...

Gives us a nice goal to get out of Afghanistan have finished. We got him and destroyed his network ability to launch large attacks. And hopefully but Afghanistan into a position where the moderates will be in control.
Were we ever going to stop terrorism with guns? No, but thats a long term battle we need to be fighting. And its one that starts with leaving Iraq and Afghanistan.
I don't think so. If we wanted to "get out of Afghanistan" we coulda done it a long time ago. Iraqi's killed more coalition, killed more assets, and at a much faster rate than the rag tag Taliban...because Iraqis were smart at least. Although we have Iraq practically in a position like Saudi Arabia as a "future oil reserve", we still need to take care of Iran. Don't be surprise if "nuke factories" and "Iranian weapons in Taliban caches" come up once again. ;)

I should ask, how long does DNA testing take? I was told in February that it takes between 2-5 days.
Yeah, the burial was fast and irreversible because they don't want to give someone a frozen body they had for years. :p I'm not convinced they "just killed him". I think at this point OBL's "martyrdom" is long past significance and they are just setting up to put "Al Queda" on a lower hit list and target other "terrorist" like those in Iran. A $300 ipad is perfect for the person willing to buy a $300 Dell computer. Apple should keep ipad 1 around at the reduced price to corner the low end tablet market. Perhaps a year from now Apple could sell ipad 1 for as low as $200?
This is a real surprising trend for Apple products, I cannot recall such deep discounts on the "old" model of anything in the past. I have an iPad1 and was planning to sell it and get an iPad2. But the "value" of both just when south by 40% to 50%.
What I mean is - I can't be the only one thinking if I wait until the iPad3 comes along I'll be able to grab an iPad2 for 40% off.
I have to wonder what Apple is planning to prevent this from happening next year?
I'd keep the old one. It is a quality photo frame if nothing else. Put it on a table in the living room and have it for guests to use.

I do wish people in this forum stop referring to 'the military' as though they were some sort of alien life-forms. 'The military' are people, and even if you happen to be in the oh-so-unique moral high ground of opposing war and violence from your comfortable desk, soldiers deserve the best kit we can afford to give them. Ditto for the returning veterans. And their families.

That "picture" of Jobs at the cancer center is clearly not Steve Jobs. Its so obvious that isn't Jobs that its not even funny. Even though the picture is from behind, Jobs looks like he's quite fine at that table.

idisk and dropbox both work for this. I use idisk to keep a synced copy of data on all my macs. It's not immediate update, but it allows access to the files even when away from the network. Not sure what will happen once mobileme transitions to it's new free version, tho.

So I am curious if I was looking at a logo is there a tool out there that I can use to click a color and it will tell me it's code (ie #02E003). I don't know if what I am saying makes sense, I am trying as best I can to say what I am thinking.
Would photoshop be the tool to use, if so what would I click tool wise in its functions. Not a Adobe user thus the question.

This tech, as it has been said before is nothing new, I remember reading a very inforative article in New Scientist about making the ultimate heat ---> energy chip, and there is an alloy that when heated on one side it creates a strong electric current. I think they planned on putting them in cars, by the engine to power electronics in the car. What is new is the idea of putting it by a computers cpu.

But I didn't put a smiley because it wasn't really all that sarcastic. It was a pretty straighforward comment about how Macrumors posters are temperamental and sometimes hypocritical.
